Police are searching for Linda Fellenbaum, 33, from Joliet in Illinois, who was last seen alive on Sunday October 21

UPDATE 11/07/12 JOLIET, ILLINOIS — Searches being conducted in Plainfield, Romeoville for missing mother of three:

Family, friends and volunteers combed areas along Renwick Road near Plainfield Sunday, searching for clues in the disappearance of a young Joliet mother, according to the Herald-News.

Deborah Barr said her daughter, 33-year-old Linda Barr Fellenbaum, was last seen leaving her boyfriend’s home at 3608 Crockett Court in Joliet’s Old Renwick Trail subdivision, located off Renwick Road near I-55.

According to the Herald-News, nearly 50 people showed up to search for Fellenbaum, including her mother and her sister, Sarah Ogeto. Friends, family and volunteers knocked on doors and searched fields, but ultimately did not turn up any hard clues, Ogeto said.

“I’m hoping that we find some information from someone — some kind of evidence of what direction she was going in that can help us to find her,” Ogeto told the newspaper. Click here to read the entire article.

Based out of the parking lot at Mistwood Golf Club in Romeoville, searchers walked fields and marshy areas near Renwick Road, looking for signs of the missing mom in a search area that stretched into Romeoville, Plainfield, Crest Hill and Joliet.

Barr told Patch her daughter was last seen Oct. 21 walking away from boyfriend Donald Wolak’s Crockett Court home — leaving behind her car, cell phone and even her shoes, her mother said.

Wolak, meanwhile, filed a report with Joliet police, alleging Fellenbaum stole a “large sum” of cash from him, along with a gun. Police said the couple argued over the missing money on Oct. 21, and Wolak told police she then fled the house. According to police, a neighbor backed up Wolak’s story, saying he saw Fellenbaum leaving the Crockett Court home.

Barr said the mother of three would not willingly disappear for weeks without telling her family where she was going.

“This is 100 percent out of character for her,” she told Patch.

The day she vanished, Fellenbaum had reportedly met with a Chicago man for tryst the two allegedly set up on Craigslist, the man claimed. But after meeting with the man in Naperville, Fellenbaum reportedly changed her mind and backed out.

11/05/12, JOLIET, ILLINOIS —  Joliet mother missing after argument with boyfriend -

A mother-of-three has been missing for two weeks following an argument with her boyfriend over ‘a handgun and a large sum of cash’.

Police are searching for Linda Fellenbaum, 32, (also some report her age as 33) from Joliet, IL who was last seen alive on Sunday October 21, 2012 by Donald Wolak, 40, who had been in a relationship with Linda for two months after meeting on the Internet.

According to Wolak, Linda showed up at his Crockett Court residence on Sunday, October 21 and they both started arguing. Apparently Wolak was accusing Linda of stealing a large amount of cash and a gun and in the heat of the argument Woklak said Linda fled on foot leaving her vehicle, shoes, cell-phone and other possessions behind.

She hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

The missing woman had reportedly planned to pick her son up from her mother’s home the day after her disappearance, but never showed up, which Barr told the Herald-News was unlike her daughter.

Less than a week before Linda’s disappearance, on October 16, 2012 Wolak filed a police report. In the report he wrote an alleged theft of his gun. He then told officers he assumed she had returned on October 21 to give him back his gun and his money and when she didn’t he got upset but so far claims he had nothing to do with her disappearance.

Family and friends don’t believe Wolak’s story and don’t believe Linda just ran off especially without her possessions and vehicle and without contacting them.

In a surprising twist, a unidentified man from Chicago, IL has come forward, telling police that he had replied to a ad on Craigslist posted by Linda and the two met up at a Naperville hotel for a discrete hook-up just hours before her disappearance. According to the unknown male, Linda wrote in the ad that she was just visiting the town and would be leaving within the next day. He said the two of them met at 4pm on October 21, ‘in the hotel parking lot’ but Linda ended up backing out last minute, she went missing four hours later. The unknown man added: ‘We never ended up doing anything.’

A Facebook group was set-up by the missing mother’s family titled Linda Barr Fellenbaum Missing Person

Family joined with police Yesterday to search for the missing woman in Romeoville and the neighborhood where she was last seen, but so far nothing has come up and Linda’s whereabouts remain unknown. Authorities are now asking the public for assistance.

A release from the family describes her as an African American female adult, 5′ 9″, weighing approximately 145 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes, a mole on the top edge of hairline and a scar on her left knee.

According to the release, Linda’s mother says she grew up in Rockford, Ill., and attended Marquette University in Milwaukee.

She had reportedly moved to Joliet from the nearby Hinsdale, Ill., which is located about 20 miles from Chicago.

She hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

Three days after her disappearance, on March 16, 2008, her estranged husband committed suicide by a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Henry County Sheriff’s Department believes Rachel was killed in a murder-suicide by her husband but no body has ever been located to prove that theory and her case remains unsolved.

Rachel’s family miss her very much and are desperate for answers. They have put alot of effort and held many vigils, both online and offline, but still haven’t received any closure.

We are remembering Rachel today. She has been missing for four years today. Please say a prayer that Rachel is found and say a prayer for comfort for her family.

Your Loved One lives In Your Heart
Many tender memories soften your grief,
May fond recollection bring you relief,
And may you find comfort and peace in the thought
Of the joy that knowing your loved one brought…
For time and space can never divide
Or keep your loved one from your side
When memory paints in colors true
The happy hours that belonged to you.

John Jacobson, then 5, had just celebrated his birthday less than two months before he went missing. He was last seen on the evening of November 16, 1996, with his mother, Sandra Jacobson leaving 1100 University Dr in Bismarck, North Dakota.

The two had went to Sandra’s mothers (John’s grandmother) house to eat dinner. They stayed for an hour or so and left in Sandra’s car. On their way back home, Sandra called the Bismarck Police Department on her cellular phone. She seemed distressed and told dispatchers that she believed individuals were taking part in satanic rituals on a farm in Center, ND. When asked why she called the Bismarck Police and not Center Police Department or Oliver County Sheriff’s Department, she said she didn’t “trust them”. They got home at approximately 7:30pm and Sandra contacted her mother. The mother had wanted to bring her to the hospital because she believed Sandra was showing signs “mental illness”. Sandra agreed and said she and John would drive to her home after stopping at a service station to get gas, and they will go from there.  They were last seen by neighbors leaving their home and haven’t been seen or heard from since.

Her mother reported her and her grandson (John) missing at 10pm that night after she didn’t show up and couldn’t be reached.

Her vehicle, a gray 1990 Honda Civic, was located the following day abandoned at Centennial Beach near the Missouri River in Bismarck. The driver’s side door was left wide open, keys still in the ignition and Sandra’s purse laying in the front seat with only her license missing. A search of the beach showed no signs of the mother and son but police did find a child’s shoe that may have possibly belonged to John, although they’re uncertain if it is indeed his shoe.

The Burleigh County Sheriff’s Department’s dive team attempted to search the river but had to cut the search short because of strong river currents and bad weather. Searches between Centennial Beach and the railroad bridge yeiled no signs of the missing mother and son, nor did their house or cell-phone records provide any evidence of their possible whereabouts. Their whereabouts remain unknown.

It is believed that she did stop at a gas station because her gas-tank was filled when her vehicle was discovered.

There have been many theories as to what happened that night. Everything from rituals to a murder-suicide committed by Sandra. But they are all assumptions and police have no suspects or evidence pointing in a particular direction. It appears as if they vanished into thin air.

When John was last seen, he was wearing a hunter green winter coat with blue cuffs. Sandra was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue sweatshirt, brown lace-up boots, and a blue down-filled jacket.

Arkansas Mother Disappears After A Boat Ride In Beaver Lake

Alicia Minton missing since 07/01/07 from Arkansas
Age: 29 Age Now: 34-35 (Birthdate Unknown)
Sex Female Race White
Height: 5’7” Weight: 110
Hair: Brown Eyes: Brown

On the afternoon of July 1, 2007 Alicia Minton dropped her children off with a friend and then ran a few errands, including a stop at Enterprise Rent-A-Car. She drove to Beaver Lake in Rogers, AK where she swam and rode a boat out into the lake. She hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

Shortly after her disappearance, her silver BMW 30i was found abandoned at the intersection of Second and Locust Streets in Rogers. Two weeks after her disappearance on July 15, 2007,  her purse was found floating in Beaver Lake.

Rogers Police (RPD) don’t believe she left on her own accord. She didn’t take any belongings which indicates she didn’t plan on leaving.

The family of the missing mother say she wouldn’t have left her four children nor would she have missed her family’s birthdays and the holidays.

There’s been no phone call, although Alicia’s sister, Michelle Hurt, has hoped for one.

“Some days you want to pick up the phone and tell her about your day,” said Hurt of Omak, WA. “So many times I’ve thought she’d call.”

The grief never leaves Minton’s mother, Brenda Mathis, of Bentonville.

“It’s not like when somebody dies in your family and you can have a funeral,” Mathis said. “You can have some closure, with this you can have none. The least little thing can spark a memory, and it’s like it happened yesterday.”

Authorities believe they have identified the boat she took out onto the water and they also believe foul-play is suspected. Alicia’s ex-boyfriend, Randal Todd Greenway, was immediately considered a person-of-interest. He has a long rap sheet that dates back to 1993 and according to police the two had a rocky relationship. Alicia was supposed to visit Greenway the day she went missing.

In April, 2010, Greenway was arrested and plead guilty to drug charges. He was sentenced to twenty years and although police believe Greenway is responsible for Alicia’s disappearance, they don’t have a body or the evidence to prove it and her case remains unsolved.

Alicia was last seen wearing a red bikini covered with a red tank top, dark-colored shorts and pink flip-flops.

Thursday, January 31, 2013 will be a typical day for many, just another end to another month. But for the family of Unique Harris, a missing mother of two boys who will be turning 27, this will be the third birthday without her

Missing Since: October 9, 2010 from Washington, DC
Classification: Endangered Missing
Date Of Birth: January 31, 1986
Age Then: 24 Age Now: 27
Height: 5’7″ Weight: 125 pounds
Hair Color: Brown; Dark brown roots, auburn strands.
Eye Color: Brown
Race: Black Gender: Female
Distinguishing Characteristics: Tattoo on left arm and
back. Unique (upper right arm), Richard & U’andre’ (lower back).
Pierced ears. Mole on upper lip. Learning disability.
Clothing: White shirt and gray pants.
Jewelry: Matching gold necklace & earrings with garnet
red beads. Sterling silver necklace with safety pin clasp.

Unique Harris was 24-years-old when she was last seen in her Washington D.C. apartment on October 9, 2010 with her children and her young cousin, Talaya Reed. The four of them were eating popcorn and watching a movie and Unique was relaxing in comfortable clothes which included a white t-shirt and grey pants, believed to be sweatpants. When the movie was over Unique put her two boys to bed, then went to bed herself. Her cousin, who also stayed the night, went to bed as well.

The following morning at approximately 9am, her cousin woke up and noticed Unique was missing and called her mother to tell her and ask if she had spoken to her. Her mother said she had not talked to her since the day before.

At first they weren’t too concerned, thinking she may have went to the store but the more time that went by, the more worried her family became.

Unique’s grandfather, Richard Harris, stopped by the apartment later that afternoon where he came across the two children and cousin, but Unique still wasn’t home. He went into her bedroom and found her glasses lying on a pillow. This discovery immediately turned Richard from worried to frantic because Unique cannot see without her glasses and would have never left them behind. Police in Washington DC were then called but despite media attention, searches and interviews, the missing mother’s whereabouts remain a complete mystery.

Family and loved ones miss her dearly, with one family member, a cousin, writing in March, 2012 on Facebook:

“Cuzzin where ever u are We Love You So Much!!! The devil is busy but we will not stop praying …we all need you.”

valencia_harris

Photo of Valencia Harris, Unique’s devastated mother who’s been searching for her daughter for over two years. Richard has a tiny mole above the right corner of his mouth. Sometimes Valencia touches it, lightly, the way she used to touch the mole on his mother’s face, before she disappeared. The missing mother’s other child, U’Andre’, shares his mother’s wiggling feet, the ones Valencia used to dress up in white booties. Booties she never threw away and still has today, barely unscuffed, at her Temple Hills home. Her daughter never scuffed them because Valencia never put her down as a baby, because when she was born, Valencia looked at her and thought: “I can’t believe I made this. I made this, this special baby.” — However, for over two years, she’s been mourning the possibility that she may never she her special baby ever again.

I am not able to post videos at the moment, for some reason. However, click Valencia Harris plea for help in finding her missing daughter to watch a YouTube video of Unique’s mother pleaded for help in locating her missing mother. Video was uploaded by Black And Missing

Last Week Marked The Third Year Anniversary Since Ashburn Mother, Bethany A. Decker, Disappeared

Photo of Bethany Anne Decker taken shortly before her January, 2011 disappearance

Bethany Decker was a 21-year-old mother to a 4-year-old child and was pregnant with another when she disappeared on January 29, 2011 under suspicious circumstances at her apartment on Orchard Grass Terrace in Ashburn, Virginia.  She was last seen with her former boyfriend, Ronald Dennis Roldan, who was living with Decker prior to her disappearance. Roldan was last seen in Annadale, Fairfax County, VA.

Bethany Decker had described Roldan’s demeanor to family and friends as “controlling and abusive” according to investigators in court documents.

Roldan’s attorney had said his client was being ‘cooperative’ although sources in the sheriff’s office say he eventually ceased answering questions.

After repeated attempts to contact Decker, her family contacted police on February 19, 2011 and filed a missing persons report. At the time, family members had thought she was with friends, and her friends believed she was staying with family.

According to authorities, there has been no activity on her bank accounts, cell phone, or email account. She was a student attended George Mason University but hasn’t attended any classes after 01/29/11. Kim Nelson, the missing woman’s mother, said her daughter was looking forward to completing her degree and only had 3 more classes left.

Investigators created a timeline which places Decker in Columbia, Maryland the day she went missing. She was there with family members, including her grandmother and her husband, Emile Decker. Her husband, Emile Decker, left for tour duty in Afghanistan on February 2, 2011, three days after his wife went missing. According to the Disappeared show on ID, the couple’s marriage was on the rocks and Bethany did not see Emile off prior to him leaving. Emile has since returned from duty.

bethany_decker

Photo of Bethany Deck with former husband Emile Decker

The last person to have seen Bethany, Ronald Roldan, had his attorney make a April, 2012 statement saying that he believed Decker was alive and will return home safely.

Ronald Roldan’s attorney, Andi Geloo, told WTOP, “my client remains hopeful and prays daily that Bethany will come home.”

Decker’s family and loved ones have been desperately searching for their daughter since her 2011 disappearance. Last week marked the second anniversary since she went missing and since then, her family has reached out to the public threw Facebook, and even met with producers of TV show Disappeared on Investigation Discovery (ID) channel to get their daughter’s name and disappearance out there. Click here to see a clip from the ID program.

Recently her family started the Hope Ribbon for Bethany project to keep the public’s attention.

“Our family has an empty place that was filled with Bethany’s laughter,” said Nelson to reporters when speaking about her daughter’s disappearance.

“Her 3-year-old son will ask ‘Where’s Mommy’ and all I can say is that I don’t know but God is with her,” Nelson said. “We are praying that someone has information on the details of her disappearance and will have the courage to come forward.”

There is no evidence in the case that points to foul play, but authorities are looking at all the possibilities.

Find Bethany Decker is a Facebook page created to update the public and share theories and support her family and loved ones.

Bethany Decker is described as a Caucasian female with brown hair and brown eyes. She is 4-foot-11 and weighed 130 pounds and had a baby bump due to being 5 months pregnant at the time.

Mother of four vanished after filing reports regarding a possible stalker and has never been seen again

  • Full Name: Rachael Leigh Anderson
  • Missing From: Clarkston, Washington
  • DOB: June 11, 1969
  • DOD: April 16, 2010
  • Age Then: 40
  • Age Now: 42
  • Race: White Sex: Female
  • Height: 5’ 4″
  • Weight: 120 lbs
  • Eyes: Brown
  • Hair: Black

April 16, 2013 will be the third year anniversary since a Idaho mother vanished without a trace.

Rachael Anderson was 40-years-old mother of four children when she was last seen in the Clarkston, WA area on April 16, 2010. A few days later on April 19, 2010, after not being able to contact their mother, and after she failed to report to work, Amber Griswold and Ashley Colbert filed a missing persons report with the Clarkston Police Department. On April 21, 2010, her SUV, along with her cell phone, were located abandoned near a bus stop in North Lewiston.

According to reports, it appeared that prior to the missing mother’s disappearance she was being stalked. In fact, in the weeks leading up to her disappearance she had been receiving text messages and phone calls in which the unknown caller would hang up. Several complaints were filed with the police and they were working with her to find out who was behind the calls.

“She was confused, scared, didn’t know who it was. She was afraid for her life, we had many conversations where we were talking about how this could end in her death,” said Amber Griswold

On Rachael Anderson’s Facebook page a post by Ashley, posted in 2010 shortly after her mother vanished, states:

“The stalking began three months ago with phone calls. At first with the phone calls, no one would respond. The phone calls progressed into music playing in the background, that was muffled, and no one would speak on the phone. Then she started getting phone calls from various telephone numbers with disguised voices. The disguised voices would tell her what she was doing, what specific lights were on in her home, as if every move she made was being watched.

During this time my mom had the lock to her shed broken off, eerily men’s cologne was present on her front porch at night, her vehicle tires were slashed in front of her home, and the back windshield of her vehicle was broken in broad daylight at the parking lot of her employer. She had reported this information to law enforcement as she feared for her life. Multiple police reports were filed and she was working with a police detective with whom she checked in with everyday. On the day that my sister and I reported our mother missing, our mother was supposed to meet with detectives to try and find out who was stalking and harassing her. Interestingly, my mother also had documented information which she was compiling together that is now missing.”

However, there is no evidence to prove the alleged stalker is responsible and it appears Rachael had other issues regarding her ex-husband, Charles Capone, who she was in the midst of divorcing.

In the months leading up to her disappearance Rachael filed harassment complaints against Capone. Police questioned him but he denied any involvement. He was never officially named a suspect in the case.

Rachael’s daughters believe he had something to do with it and they believe he had something to do with the stalking as well. They say that he was controlling and tried to isolate their mother from friends and family, which is a common tactic among abusive and controlling husbands.

Capone is a convicted felon and was arrested in an unrelated crime Moscow, Idaho shortly after the disappearance.

The case has since gone cold and Rachael Anderson’s whereabouts remain unknown.

Geneva Mother, Michelle Parker, Still Missing Over Two Years Later

Michelle Parker was a 32-year-old mother of twin children from Geneva who vanished from South Orlando, FL on November 17, 2011. She was last seen at approximately 4PM and her Black HC Hummer with has a glow logo on the back window, was found abandoned the following day at the 4700 Block of Walden Circle, which is a part of town she didn’t normally frequent. Many volunteers joined in with police and loved ones to search for the missing mother but she was never found.

Some might remember watching Michelle on an episode of People’s Court in front of Judge Marilyn Milian. The episode that Michelle appeared in — she was disputing having to pay for an engagement ring given to her by her then ex-fiance, Dale Smith, then 33. The episode (which can be seen here in a very low-quality recording), she was looking for $5,000 back for the engagement ring he gave Parker — which she threw over a hotel balcony in an alleged drunken fit of rage. Judge Milian decided that they should both bear the burden of the ring’s cost, while encouraging them to cooperate in the raising of their twins. Milian ruled in favor of Smith and awarded him $2,500. After the case the two were able to make statements. In the interview with Parker after the ruling, reporter Curt Chaplin described the relationship as a “fatal attraction,” and Michelle, visibly upset, swore the relationship was over.

Later that same day of the courtroom appearance Michelle’s brother received a one-word incoming text message from her cellphone, saying “Waterford,” which is a neighborhood in Orlando. Family members thought this was odd because Parker usually writes a lot, and sprinkles in emoticons in her texting. They didn’t receive anymore texts despite asking to explain further. She didn’t return the following day to her shift as a bartender and that’s when worried turned to panic.

Suspicion immediately turned on her ex-fiance who was supposedly one of the last known people to have seen her alive. He immediately became a person-of-interest however, police  cleared him of any involvement, saying he has been very cooperative with the investigation and no evidence to indicate he had anything to do with her disappearance. Lafayette Woman Last Seen Exactly One Month Ago From Today

crystal-grebingerLafayette Police are investigating the disappearance of 32-year-old Crystal Grebinger who was last seen on February 8, 2013.

According to local reports, Grebinger’s husband had been described as abusive, telling her that if she ever left him that he would kill her. She was last seen leaving the safe house in Lafayette where she had been staying.

The woman’s mother, Tammy Savoy, has been passing out missing person flyers all around town and threw out  social media websites, trying to find her missing daughter. She hasn’t received any phone calls or visits from Grebinger in four weeks and she knew almost immediately that something wasn’t right.

“I knew something is wrong,” said Savoy. “People can cry wolf all the time. (But) this is happening. Something happened to my daughter.”

Grebinger was staying at a Lafayette safe house, while going through a divorce from her husband. Grebinger’s sister, Candy Dupuis, says Crystal, as a mother of four, was trying to get her family back on track.

“Her kids meant the world to her,” said Dupuis. “That was her everything, you know?”

The family said her marriage was rocky and violent. And they fear her husband had something to do with her disappearance.

“He always told her, and the divorce would be final this month, that is she left him, he’d kill her,” said Dupuis.

But at this point, police have named no suspects in her disappearance. And it’s the not knowing that’s the hardest on the family.

“It’s a bad feeling, right here [stomach],” said Savoy. “It’s just killing me. I can’t think. I can’t sleep, I can’t eat.”

A newly-revealed journal has shown the despair and turmoil of Susan Powell, who felt like a prisoner in her marriage and warned that she didn’t trust her husband in the months before she vanished.

She had been married about a year when she started writing a journal. She was a love-struck, 20-year-old newlywed, dreaming of the future she would build with her husband.

‘I just feel incredibly lucky to have Josh,’ she wrote in 2002. Before long, however, she found herself torn.
